Supported devices and operating systems

Runs on one computer.
Opens on every screen.

Agent Guild runs on your own Windows, macOS or Linux computer. Every other screen, from a browser to a headset, opens that computer’s guild rather than running agents of its own.

npm install -g @oddessentials/agent-guild

  1. Your computer

The manager. It owns the real terminals, the sessions, the accounts and the API. Install it with npm, through VS Code or from World: it’s the same manager every time.

  2. The page

Comes from the manager itself. These screens load it, so each one always matches your computer.

  3. Made for the device

Built around what the device does best, talking to Agent Guild directly.

  4. A screen to watch

The Yard, sent to a screen you look at rather than touch.

A feature added to the manager and its page reaches nearly every screen at once.

Where it runs

Every screen below opens the Agent Guild on this computer. It needs Node.js 22 or newer.

Every screen

  • The whole pageLoads the page from your computer, so it always matches it.
  • Made for the deviceTalks to Agent Guild directly, with what suits the device.
  • A screen to watchShows the Yard. Nothing to touch.

Any browser

On the computer itself, or any device on your Tailscale network.

Desktop browser

The whole page

Runs on
Any current browser. The Yard needs WebGL.
What you get
Everything: every card, every terminal, GitHub, remote access and voice. The Yard fetches its art once, about 255 MB.
Keep in mind
  • Over SSH to a headless computer, forward the manager’s own port: 47821 unless you change it.

Phone or tablet browser

The whole page

Runs on
Tailscale 1.52 or newer on both devices, or your own reverse proxy.
What you get
The whole page, with touch keys: arrows, Tab, Enter, Esc, Ctrl+C, Paste and Clear.
Keep in mind
  • A Home Screen web app keeps its storage apart from the browser’s, so you sign in there once more.

VS Code

From the Marketplace or Open VSX, for VS Code and the editors built on it.

Agent Guild for VS Code

The whole page

Runs on
VS Code 1.85 or newer, or an editor built on it.
What you get
The whole page in an editor tab, and a small Yard view beside your code.
Keep in mind
  • Dictate isn’t available in VS Code.
  • While the page has focus, it takes VS Code’s own shortcuts.
  • A remote window (SSH, WSL or a container) shows the Agent Guild on your own computer.
  • vscode.dev and other editors in a browser aren’t supported.

Apple

The Agent Guild app, from your pocket to the big screen.

iPhone and iPad

The whole page

Runs on
iOS 18 or newer.
What you get
The whole page, with several windows on iPad, and the Yard on an AirPlay TV.
Keep in mind
  • No push notifications. iOS closes the connection soon after the app leaves the screen; your sessions keep running, and it reconnects when you come back.

Apple Vision Pro

The whole page

Runs on
visionOS 2 or newer.
What you get
The whole page, in as many windows as you like.
Keep in mind
  • The same background and notification notes as iPhone.

Apple Watch

Made for the device

Runs on
watchOS 11 or newer, paired with an iPhone that has the app.
What you get
Your computers and their sessions by name, and any session’s last reply read aloud.
Keep in mind
  • No terminal, and no starting or stopping sessions.

AirPlay TV

A screen to watch

Runs on
From iPhone or iPad, with Agent Guild 1.5.0 or newer.
What you get
The Yard on the TV as a screen of its own, not a mirror, so your device stays free.
Keep in mind
  • To look at, not to touch.

Android

The Agent Guild app, signed and published on GitHub. No Google Play services needed.

  • Agent Guild 1.9.0 or newer.

Android phones and tablets

The whole page

Runs on
Android 10 or newer.
What you get
The whole page, Cards or the Yard, with several computers and the demo. Dictate uses the device’s own speech recognition.
Keep in mind
  • No Read aloud and no push notifications. The connection closes when Android stops the app; your sessions keep running, and it reconnects when you come back.
  • One window. If the device’s WebView is too old, the app asks you to update it first.

Android TV and Fire TV

A screen to watch

Runs on
Android TV on Android 10 or newer; Fire TV on Fire OS 8 or newer. The same app.
What you get
The Yard full screen and kept awake, opened from the TV’s launcher and steered with the remote.
Keep in mind
  • No terminals, links or microphone.

Meta Horizon OS

The whole page

Runs on
The same app.
What you get
The Android app as a window in the headset.

Meta glasses

Your sessions in view, their last answers in your ear.

  • Agent Guild 1.8.0 or newer, with remote access on.
  • The Meta AI app on your phone, with developer mode on.

Meta Ray-Ban Display

Made for the device

Runs on
A 600 × 600 page from your computer, steered with the touchpad.
What you get
Every session and what it’s doing, and any session’s last answer read aloud, code skipped.
Keep in mind
  • No terminal, and no starting or stopping sessions.
  • Anyone with the install code can use your terminals.

Steam

Agent Guild: World, the premium 3D world for Agent Guild.

Agent Guild: World

Made for the device

Windows 10 64-bit; macOS 11, universal; Linux x64 on Ubuntu 22.04 or SteamOS; Steam Deck. Vulkan 1.2 or Metal, and 4 GB of video memory.
What you get
The 3D world. Start and reattach sessions, open full terminals, and clone from GitHub.
Keep in mind
  • Stopping, renaming and removing sessions, accounts, usage meters and the GitHub panel stay on Agent Guild’s page.

PCVR headsets

Made for the device

Runs on
World through an OpenXR runtime such as SteamVR, with motion controllers. Start it with:AgentGuildWorld --xr-mode on -- --vr
What you get
The world as a table and World’s own controls as a panel, both in the headset.
Keep in mind
  • Studio stays on the desktop. No hand tracking; a terminal types on the in-headset keyboard.
  • Without an OpenXR headset, World runs on the desktop.
